Assistant Lecturer
Mr Mwangosi is a trained Social worker. He holds a Masters of Social Sciences (SW) from Stockholm University, Sweden. An Advanced Diploma in Social Work from ISW- DSM, a post Qualification Award- (PQ1-Child care). Mr Mwangosi has frontline work experience with children and families services, He has worked with street Children in Tanzania. He has also worked with children and families services within local authorities in England for about 10 years as frontline practitioner and a manager.
Mr Mwangosi has been involved in work with several partner agencies particularly working with children including IRC and UNICEF- this includes recent work with UNICEF around Mainstreaming Child protection into Social work education in Tanzania.
Training and Research interests
Mr Mwangosi teachers Child Protection, Social Policy, Social administration and Social work practice. His research interests includes child protection and partnership working, Social policy, Dynamics around the development of Social Work Practice in Tanzania, its image and Social work regulation. Mr Mwangosi is also a part time lecturer with other higher learning institutions in Tanzania, particularly the Open University of Tanzania.
Mr Mwangosi joined the Institute of Social Work in late 2013.
