BACKGROUND AND WORKING EXPERIENCE
William Manyama is an assistant lecturer at the Institute of Social Work and he is currently pursuing PhD studies in Sociology at the University of Dar es salaam. He holds a Master’s Degree in Community Work from Bergen University, Norway and a Bachelor Degree in Sociology from the University of Dar es salaam. Mr Manyama has wide experience in training, research and consultancy. His areas of interest and expertise in training include Sociology, Social Research, Social Policy and Project Planning and Management. Mr Manyama has also been engaged in Research activities as a principal researcher and research assistant in diverse contexts. His areas of research include (but not limited to) students’ reproductive health behaviours, social dimensions of poverty and marginalized groups and family planning. Mr Manyama has also been consulted on various activities i.e. curriculum development and review, research projects, GBV and VAC training, assistance in recruitment exercises etc. Further, he has presented different papers in conferences, seminars, workshops, and symposiums.
