Peter hold a Masters Degree in Sociology. He has also had training on How to mark, set and moderate competence based examinations, Curricular preparation, minor and major reviews, How to prepare Strategic plan, Business Analysis and Framework Document, Organization Change management, Competence based training Methodology, Family Life Education training workshop and Strengthening HIV Test Access and Treatment Update Study(STATUS).
Peter was first appointed in public services on June,2009 as a tutor/education officer and stationed to teach at Mineral Resources Institute under the Ministry of Energy and Minerals where he taught for five years. He was granted a full registration as a technical teacher by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE). While at the Institute he was appointed to act in various positions as head of department, head of administration and human resources, deputy principal finance and administration and Dean of Students. He also worked with Intralhealth International as a research site coordinator for fourteen months while conducting STATUS search study in Tanzania jointly with the Ministry of Health and social welfare, Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Japhiego.
Peter joined the Institute of Social Work as an Assistant Lecturer in June,2015 from Bahi district council where he was serving as senior education officer for secondary schools in education department the position the position he served for eight months before joining institute. He also worked as a tutorial assistant by Mount Meru University soon after bachelor degree graduation, the post he served for one year before went for further studies.
